Declare Praise!

My mouth will declare the LORD’s praise; let every living thing bless his holy name forever and ever. Psalms 145:21 CSB

Austin French declaring praise to the Lord and inviting all to join in! Sorry he is a bit blurry,
he was moving and encouraging everyone.

I declare praise to the Lord! In the original Hebrew and Greek, the words translated as declare mean “to make known” or to “set forth.” When we declare our praise of the Lord, we are making Him known to those around us. To set forth is to present our praise in clear terms so others can understand.

Mannafest was a wonderful time of declaring praise for our Lord! There was a forecast of rain for the afternoon, which I’m afraid kept some people away. We got a downpour around 1:00 pm, but only a very light sprinkle once or twice the rest of the evening. Thank You, Lord! It was a lot of fun with games for kids, activities for youth, food and refreshments, and praise and worship music for everyone. Bibles were offered to all who wanted one. It was a festival celebrating, praising, and sharing our Lord.

Our own Patrick County High School praise and worship team led off the praise. Next a group from Michigan, Belle Isle Worship, praised the Lord in songs and shared stories of God’s amazing work in their lives. And then Austin French sang many of his most popular praise and worship songs, including Born Again, Good Feeling, and Jesus Can. He invited all to come to the front of the stage to sing praises with him. Austin shared His testimony and encouraged all to know the Lord.

Praise to the Lord was declared by all.

This week declare your praise to the Lord with spoken words or song, with written words or dance. Make Him known to others.

Blessings and joy as you declare praise to the Lord!

Remembrance

Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15 CSB

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 CSB

Because this post falls on September 11th, let’s all take a few moments to remember the tragedy of 9/11. It was 22 years ago, but it really doesn’t feel like that long ago. Those of us who were adults can most likely remember where we were or what we were doing when we heard the news or watched the news footage in horror. Prayers for all the families affected by that day. Remember, lest we forget.
