God – he clothes me with strength and makes my way perfect. Psalms 18:32 CSB
Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the cell. Striking Peter on the side, he woke him up and said, “Quick, get up!” And the chains fell off his wrists. Acts 12:7 CSB

I have to admit, I started out with a totally different topic for this week’s blog, but at church yesterday morning I was led to change it. So, if you feel this is written for you (because it is also written for me), we’ll both thank the Lord for his guidance. Actually, two special people contributed to this post, our special music man, Eric, who sings one of my favorite songs, “Let Me Tell You ‘bout My Jesus”. “He makes a way when there ain’t no way.” And our preacher, Mark, who used the Acts verse today in his sermon. Thanks, guys!!
Jesus, is our way – maker!
Are you struggling with the path you feel you are supposed to be on? I know I am. I started over five years ago with this blog and the dream of writing children’s books. I love writing my weekly blog and my WordPress family and their wonderful support. But the dream of writing children’s books has yet to produce any fruit. I ask the Lord, am I on the right path? Is this the way? But I have decided to trust that the Lord is my way maker even if it turns out to be a different “way”. Not my will, but Yours!
Jesus, is our chain – breaker!
Do you feel locked in the “chains” of addiction or dependency or depression or idolatry or just hopelessness? We all have our “chains”. But our Jesus is also a “chain – breaker.” Just as Peter found out. He has already broken our chains of sin and death and wraps us in His righteousness. Jesus gives us strength and His presence as He walks along side of us. I may not be able break these chains myself, but with Jesus by my side these chains fall off and I am free.
This week, let’s all seek our way-maker and chain-breaker. Let’s allow the Lord Jesus to guide us and strengthen us as we journey along our way, and free us as He breaks our chains!
I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we look to the Lord Jesus, our way maker and chain breaker.
Blessings and freedom in the Lord!
Beautiful and encouraging post. Friend don’t give up your dream—It is all in God’s timing. Stay encouraged and stay the path He has set before you. Sometimes when we choose between what is right and what is easy it seems we are behind—but we are further ahead than you think! Be and stay blessed. Blessings and Peace!
