I’m Praying for You!

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect. James 5:16 CSB

I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. Ephesians 1:16 CSB

As the early morning mist rises into the sky from the valley, so do your prayers rise to Father God in heaven, who hears each prayer.

Our verses for today remind us that we should pray for each other. The first is advice from James. He tells us that we should pray for each other, and that prayer is powerful. The second is from a letter Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus. He is thanking God for them, and he remembers them in his prayers.

Praying is when we talk to God. Prayers can be out loud or just in our minds. God hears them all. When we pray, we can tell Him what we are thankful for and praise Him. We can ask God for help with something. We can even just share how we feel.

Do you already pray to God? Maybe at bedtime or for your meals? Do you pray for others, like your mom and dad or your brothers and sisters? Then you are already doing a great job praying!

This week I want to offer a prayer for each of you!

Dear Father God,

I pray for everyone reading this prayer today.

I pray for God’s protection and joy as you play.

I pray for God’s love as He holds you near.

I pray for God’s strength to calm your fear.

I pray for God’s comfort when you are sad.

I pray for God’s wisdom when you get mad.

I pray for God’s promises to give you peace.

I pray for God’s forgiveness to give you release.

I pray for God’s guidance as you go on your way.

I pray for God’s answers whenever you pray.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

This week, when you pray, remember to pray for others. Maybe you know someone who is sick or someone you could invite to church or even someone who isn’t as nice. You can pray for anyone you know. Just spend some time talking with God, pray.

Blessings and joy as you pray for others!
