This week in my readings there were many verses about prayer, I seem to be focused on prayer lately. As I read some of Jesus’ prayers and Paul’s prayers, I felt drawn to pray for each of you. We all have struggles and hurts, worries and conflicts, and the work of just dealing with this life. So, this week I offer this prayer for everyone.

Dear Holy, Heavenly Father,

First, I thank You for each and every person visiting here today.

And I ask Your blessings of love, strength, and peace on all as I pray.

I pray that our eyes be opened to see God in each and everyday,

In the laughter of a child, in the radiant beauty of a sunset display.

I pray that our ears hear the love of God in the world He’s made,

In the praise songs of birds, in the roar of a waterfall’s cascade.

I pray that our broken hearts welcome the healing God provides,

In the humbleness of our hurts, in the paths where He guides.

I pray that our worries and burdens be lifted from our backs,

In the sharing of our troubles, in placing them in God’s pack.

I pray that our grief and sorrow be eased in God’s presence,

In knowing His love, in finding the peace only He can dispense.

I pray that our minds be filled with the knowledge of the Lord,

In the wisdom of His Word, in our hearts be forever stored.

I pray that our lives be well lived and aligned with God’s will,

In His light where we live, in His loving arms, our joy fulfill.

In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
