Shine the Love!

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a CSB

We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19 CSB

God’s love is in every detail of His amazing creation, in the intricate leaves of a fern by a spring.

I have been enjoying a visit with my brothers and sister for the past several days (hence the shortened post). We have not all been together for many years. And yet when we are together there is love. The memories and laughter flow easily.

In Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, he defines for us what love is and is not. And John tells us clearly that we can love because God loves us. We can shine the love of God for others, so that they can see God through us.

So, this week, be patient and kind, forgiving and joyful, hopeful and faithful, and shine God’s love! Put aside the things that irritate or offend. Be persistent in loving those around you. Be the light of love and love others because you are loved by God!

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me as we strive to shine the love of God to all we meet.

Blessings and shining love!
